Bodega Run IPA
With a brand-new spring IPA liquid developed, my team was tasked with developing the name, design, and brand identity. We anchored the product in the bodega, to represent our core identity as Brooklynites, elicit an emotional response from consumers, and to identify a way to support our community.
We built a rich product design featuring bodega cats, bacon egg and cheese sandwiches - and cans of beer - discovering a new icon to to represent our product across all our assets. Through a small photo campaign, we also showcase bodega workers front and center and we donated a portion of our sales to a non-profit organization that advocates for bodegas.
The response to this new brand was phenomenal. Not only did it far outperform sales projections, it’s slated to be incorporated into our portfolio as a core beer domestically and internationally in 2023. It’s also a Top 10 Shortlist Winner of the 2022 Dieline Awards for Best In-House Design.
